Since the early 90’s Team Buchanan Tackle has been offering guiding services in and around Taupo, in the Central North Island of New Zealand. With the maxim of ‘Its about catching fish and not about the walk on the riverbank’ Team Buchanan Tackle continues to be one of the higher producing guiding outfits in the Central North Island.
A Sea Change And A Rebellion
Whilst guiding operations still play a major role in the Buchanan Tackle’s business, in the last couple of years there has been a bit of a sea change as we have rigorously tested and developed a new range of products and have launched the Rebellion range of lures including the Multi-Purpose Lure range aimed at smaller species through to the Deep Water and Trolling Ranges for deep water predatory species. These lures have proven results in New Zealand, Australian, Pacific and USA waters.
Further Developments – New Products and Alliances
2008 sees Buchanan Tackle move forward yet again with new products and a strategic alliance.
The new products come in the form of a new lure range and an exciting new fly rod:
- The Rebellion Semi-Soft™ Lure, incorporating the action of a soft bait with the durability of a traditional lure;
- The Rebellion Fly Rod, Team Buchanan Tackle were tired of having multiple fly rods for all the different conditions we fish. The Rebellion Fly Rod is a true All Rounder – perfect for nymphing in small stream through for fly fishing for sea trout, salmon or the like.
The alliances comes in the form of Buchanan Tackle becoming the exclusive tackle supplier to Clubfish (www.clubfish.co.nz). Buchanan Tackle supplies fresh water and salt water products as well as guiding services throughout the North Island of New Zealand.
The future... whatever and where ever it will be with a rebellion rod in hand and we will be having a blast...
